Malcolm Keith's Story
Hi, most of you may not remember me, was sort of shy . I was involved in football and Civitan Club. Finally during senior year threw a few parties on 111 Street and up in Dania at Whiskey Creek.. Attended the U of F in Gainesville .
Started with Southern Bell in 1970, as an Installer. Really enjoyed the work and those I worked with. Worked my way up to Area Manager, with 6 crews and 42 techs working with me. Responsible for area from Vero Beach down to Key West. While at the same time I was involved with the management of businesses on Miami Beach and in Hollywood. Took early retirement in 2004. Now semi retired, doing project work for major telecom companies as independent telecom professional / consultant. Have completed projects in 46 of the lower 48 states. Mostly doing projects that interest me or provide a challenge.
In April of 2014 my wife ( Helen ) and I will celebrate our 40th annive...Expand for more
rsary. We have two children, four granddaughters and three great-grandsons. The young members of our family are mostly in Florida and Georgia.
Hobbies include caring for grand kids' horses, reading, listening to music ( mostly classic rock ) and attending concerts when schedule permiits. Still need to catch a Bob Seger concert if possible. Have been lucky enough to be payed to attend Super Bowls, NBA Playoffs, NHL Playoffs ,the World Series and NASCAR races while on diferent projects.
I have nothing but the fondest memories of North Miami, concerts at the World, Greynolds Park, Pirates World, the Sportatorium, The pool hall on West Dixie Highway. Big Daddies on Biscayne, 747 Lounge and Hunters Llounge in the Springs. Remember seeing more than a few others at these places, it was a simplier and different era.
I hope to attend 45th reunion if schedule permits. Wishing you all the best.
